"Happy Feelings I (Chemicals between us)" Painting

I live and work permanently in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. At the age of 25, I intuitively began to create my own artistic universe—one shaped by color and emotion. I consciously rejected traditional tools and continue to paint without brushes or easels, working directly with my hands on canvases placed on the floor. Guided by lived experience and inner states, this physical and instinctive approach remains central to my practice today. My creative process is deeply emotional and intuitive. Inspiration arises from life in all its dimensions: past and present, intense emotions, dreams, nature, color, fleeting moments, and love. For me, painting is not a destination, but a journey—a continuous process of becoming. I seek to create works that speak to me personally while opening a space for the viewer’s own inner experience. My paintings are characterized by strong, vibrant colors and exist in both large and intimate formats. They move between abstraction, expressionism, and surreal elements, always charged with tension and emotion. Rather than functioning as decorative compositions, my works create fields of emotional contrast—between melancholy and departure, clarity and cloudiness, stillness and movement. My imagery moves between dream and emotion. The works suggest stories, fragments, and inner landscapes, allowing viewers to search for what lies beyond the visible. Meaning is not prescribed; interpretation remains open and personal. I have developed my own artistic philosophy, which I call Marlenism: “…about losing time and finding empty space… about winning love and enduring again… about capturing the moment and lasting forever… about losing life and discovering another world… about having wings and daring to fly… about losing direction but finding the spirit… about finding yourself and dreaming of serenity… about feeling the touch of an angel and playing with the devil… It is love. It is silence. It is beauty. It is everything. It is Marlenism.” Between 2012 and 2022, I participated in several exhibitions. My works are part of numerous private collections in Germany, the United States, Canada, Romania, and Italy, and are represented in various online galleries.
