Irina Marques grew up with several influences. She was born in Lisbon in 1982 and at the age of seven she moved to Braga. She resided in Porto for nine years, where she graduated and worked. Since 2020 she live and work in Braga, Portugal. His references come from studies, curiosities, books, other artists (past and contemporary), travel, music and nature. All experiences embraces a sensitive point of view. Painting is deeply influenced by themes related to psychology, philosophy, and communication, reflecting the transformations of the self. Psychology impacts art by exploring emotions, perceptions, and the unconscious, while philosophy questions existence, reality, and subjectivity in artistic creation. Communication, in turn, allows painting to become a symbolic means of expression, conveying ideas and feelings. Thus, these elements are interconnected, making art a dynamic representation of both internal and external changes in individuals and society.
