This painting is a part of my work on the future of children. This one is about a child of the sixties which discover the noises of the world for the first time (according to the legend surrounding the photo) after the transplant of a cochlear implant. I was impressed by this nice story where the future of a child is transfigured. Here I especially tried to show the fear which we can feel in the look of this child. He seems to tell us " why the world is like this? " There is for a desire to avoid, to go back in time and to find back the silent life that he knew until then. It is like a second birth for Harold.
