🎨 Let me introduce myself

I’m Liudmyla Bezugla, a Ukrainian artist currently living and working in the Netherlands.

I primarily work in oil, creating paintings inspired by nature, colour, light and the beauty of everyday life.

At the heart of my artistic vision is a simple belief: the world is abundant. There is always colour, beauty, light, form and life around us. Even in the darkest times, if we look at the world with our eyes wide open, we can find something beautiful — a small moment of joy, the beauty of nature, a ray of light that brings back hope.

For me, this is not simply a philosophy, but a personal experience.

After the war began, I had to leave a beautiful and successful life in Ukraine and move to the Netherlands, stepping into an unknown future and starting over. It was a time of profound change and uncertainty. But the ability to notice beauty around me — to see the light, nature, people and new places — helped me hold on to life and gradually build a new one here.

I learned to look for beauty even when it seemed difficult to find. And that beauty became a source of strength, inspiration and hope for me.

Today, I hope that my paintings can offer something similar to others — that when someone looks at my work, they can feel and be filled with the energy of life, experience the beauty of the moment, find inspiration and discover the strength to keep moving forward and begin a new chapter of their own life.

That is why I paint nature the way I feel it: generous, alive, vibrant and abundant. I don’t simply want to show what I see; I want to emphasise the abundance of life, celebrate it and share that feeling with others.

I’m inspired by all the richness of the natural world.

My artistic language is built on strong colour, expressive brushwork and rich texture. I don’t simply want to capture what I see; I want to convey the feeling of a moment — its light, mood and energy.

I love travelling, observing the world around me and collecting impressions that later become paintings.

This account is my visual diary and my way of sharing what helps me see life in all its beauty.
