ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting emerged in winter from the unconscious mind, in the form of active processing of a tumultuous relationship on paper. As I do not have a mental image or goal when I start painting, I only tune into my inner space and to the music I play in the background, allowing the feelings to take over. This painting and the other from the same series are sold to the same collector. After layering color ink and allowing it to dry, I let go of the process and saw what had emerged! I see someone challenged by their "monsters," meaning: their past, shadows, conditioning, generational trauma, and DNA drilling their heads. Medium: Indian ink on paper and in a white box frame.
