Denise Joy Chasin is a contemporary artist who is most known for her flower paintings. Her work has been featured in various local and online art galleries. She has a unique ability to capture a flower's grandeur using colors that glow with energy, vitality and a sense of joyfulness. Denise lived in London as an artist and marketing executive eventually returning to the US to continue her education. After raising her family in Maryland, where she is originally from, and focusing on her philanthropic efforts, Denise and her husband, five horses, three dogs and a cat, headed to California to spend more time in nature and painting. Denise now lives in San Diego, California where she is an avid hiker who finds her inspiration in nature with an affinity to plants and flowers. These experiences are the seeds of her creative process. Denise harnesses the visual and conceptual power of flowers in a fresh and unexpecting way. Through line, shape and bold colors, Denise visually engages the viewer with a unique style that is both abstract and true to the natural world. She distills the flowers into shapes and forms that captures the essence more than being concerned with the realistic details which allows her to share the intimate conversation she has with nature and nature has with itself. Looking ahead, Denise is committed to releasing limited edition prints and a new collection each year with more dynamic canvases that continue to invigorate the flowers and remind us as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The Earth Laughs in Flowers”
