ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was finished over a few weeks following my last pre ''covid 19'' foray, with my sketch pad and camera, onto the South Wales Heritage Coastal path in Early 2020 - the sketches were made up and transposed freehand onto the canvass , outlined and coloured with acrylic brushwork roughly and then finished in oils a few weeks later,using brushes and knives. It essentially captures the essence of the predominant blues and greys within the cliff faces and the surrounding land, sea of this beautiful spot between Southerndown and Llantwit Major, on the South Wales coast.
