ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The base of this piece consists of collage (vintage ephemera pages, tissue, vintage book pieces) along with acrylic paint. Some areas have been gouged, and peeled to reveal the glimpses of the layers beneath. Primarily blue with drops of Pantone Classic Blue, white with tiny pops of red, tan, and ocre, this piece would compliment any decor with this palette. Protected with several layers of water based varnish. The sides match the painting. It is wired with D Rings and ready to hang.

Though I studied art in college at Georgia State University and Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles, I am mostly self-taught. As an artist, everything to me is form, color, movement and balance. My inspiration comes from all mediums: books, videos, film, nature, my dreams and thoughts in my quiet moments. Painting was the natural progression from drawing. I work on both small and large scale canvases, creating both abstract and figurative works.
