About The Artwork

Hide & Snipe was painted after a trip to RSPB Pulbourough to gather source material of habitats and bird species. The couple of Snipe were nesting in reeds near the hide. They were so well camouflaged that they were almost impossible to see! I was inspired to paint them as they truly embodied being a part of the landscape and habitat and highlighted the relationship between the two elements, habitat and the specie living within it.
