Artistic details:

The art of diving. An artistic, aesthetic and elegant jump into the deep. I like to show diving not as mere sports but as passion, style, art and as a way of life. Deliberately I’ve chosen Audrey Hepburn as my model and the fashion design of the 1960ies as an inspiration for the swimsuit. Both of them represent like no other the sophisticated sense of style of that era. The abstract swimsuit underlines the artistry of the jump and gives a refreshing contrast to the realistic interpretation of the diving body.

Technical details:

The canvas is stretched on a massive wooden frame about 2 inches deep. The silver parts are attached in classic gold plating technique with composition aluminum leaves. The painting of the figure is carried out with acrylic colors. The edges are as well all silver plated like the artwork itself. One can put it up the wall as it is. No additional framing will be needed.

Notice:

Please be aware that the metal covered background consists of aluminum leaves of the same kind. The lighter and more somber parts arise due to lighting and digitalization. The colors of the acrylic painting as well can differ to a certain degree due to digitalization and screen display.
