This is a painting of Bob Dylan, during his transition to the electric guitar! 'Highway 61' is one of my favourite albums by him, so I thought I'd start there for an idea about a painting. I had to paint him in New York of course, although he's not from there, that's where things happened for him.

Roger Brennan was born in London in 1968. At an early age he showed a talent for drawing, and was fascinated by comics, especially Marvel Comics with their dynamic colours and exaggerated illustrations. A self taught artist those early days helped to shape his style of painting. The other great passion in his life is music, and he plays piano, guitar, and drums. He also writes and makes his own music. You can see a lot of musical influences in his work. His other influences are movies, books, and travelling. He has traveled to many countries around the world, and apart from the UK, has lived in Spain, China, and Thailand.
