About The Artwork
"Homecoming" is part of Rohland's "Pieces of Me" collection. This body of work explores the integration and celebration of the fragmented parts of ourselves--the ones cast aside, the ones we refuse to accept. This work is built using pieces of paint and acrylic medium by embedding them like terrazzo into acrylic medium base--making a new image or self from pieces of the past. This piece comes with a hanging wire on the back of the piece.

Her work expresses the integration and celebration of the fragmented parts of ourselves. Since 2014, she’s instructed artists with intellectual disabilities and Autism, and been honing her own craft. Her body of work consists of emotive abstracts using bold texture and color through mixed media. She currently works out of her home studio in California.
