About The Artwork
2007. Painted after a trip cruising the Seine and the canals of France with friends in their sailboat, Silver Shoes. It's a nice change to see the world from the water. The paper I painted this on came from an old house in Cherbourg, France, which a friend was renovating back in the early 2000's. It has lovely deckled edges and so I painted right to the edge of the paper. I recommend float framing it if you want to keep the deckled edges visible.
