Shown at the Swiss Art Expo 2022, Zurich, Switzerland Hope, acrylic and enamel on canvas, 120 x120 x 3 cm Inspired by daybreak and the rising sun. I love mornings when I am awake before the rest of my family. I pull on jeans and a sweater and quickly slip out of the house to walk the dogs. A chill in the air, a comfortable solitude, the day breaks, I am full of Hope for the new day. I wanted to create an impression of this moment. The viewer is met by a beautiful blend of colour which suggests forest or woodland with wild flowers and twisted undergrowth. Juxtaposed against the strong line are ethereal butterflies, dancing in the dawn light. The sun rays are created with iridescent gold paint. Depending upon where the painting is hung and how much light reflects off it affects the strength of colour in the gold sun rays. Hope is ready to hang.

Angie Wright is a contemporary painter renowned for her dynamic floral landscapes that embody the vibrant “Dopamine Decor” philosophy. Rooted in the belief that bold color can spark joy, elevate energy, and inspire happiness, Angie’s work reimagines how art can transform spaces and uplift the soul. Her vibrant palette and expressive compositions fill environments with visual excitement, bringing warmth and positivity to everyday life. Over the past decade, Angie has exhibited at prestigious venues, including The Ferens Gallery in Hull (2010), The Swiss Art Expo in Zurich (2021), and NYC Art Expo (2023). She has been a top-ten seller at Paris Gallery, Singulart. Her work has been featured in “Artists and Illustrators Magazine” (June 2017), “Tomorrow Magazine” (May 2023), and “Snapshot” (May 2024) and was selected by designer Stephanie Williams for the BBC in 2018. Her recent work, collected in over 25 countries, merges realism with expressionism to immerse viewers in floral landscapes that evoke themes of hope, renewal, love, and strength. Author, magazine editor, and artist Alyson Sheldrake praised Angie’s work, stating: “Bold, bright brushstrokes sweep across the canvas to create breathtaking and mesmerizing images full of joy and vitality.” Angie’s art doesn’t just depict flowers; it creates experiences that radiate optimism. Each piece serves as a radiant sanctuary, a burst of color designed to transform spaces and lift spirits, reflecting the powerful connection between beauty, color, and emotional well-being.
