I was finding myself a bit lonely when I painted 'Hope'. When I think of hope and happiness I like to imagine them as 'wearing' gold. The tree represents a lonely person lost in the darkness; the gold is the hope shining from within and guiding him. Hope it 'guides' you as much as it 'guides' me.
