Hope Painting

Patrick Bachian drew and painted from an early age. He made the shift from figuration to abstraction in the early 2000s. The works presented here on saatchi include those of the last 3 years. Bachian's work has been exhibited both nationally (France) and internationally (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Miami, New York, Rotterdam, Shanghai, Tokyo, Toronto...) and can be found in private collections in various countries worldwide. Some of his works have already been circulating on the secondary market. Since the instinct guides us all to the truth, therefore it is naturally this truth that I try to capture and reproduce in my work, with a rather instinctive approach. In recent years, I reoriented my approach towards a permanent exploration of compositions of colored geometric shapes, which initially are structured and then deliberately somewhat distorted, giving the illusion, and by an instinctive gesture, of a free and informal abstract expression.
