Horizon urgent: to the client who bought this....I cant make contact with saatchi, heard nothing from them regarding your sale. There is no phone and its 2 days already for no reply by email. Sorry i am trying..SHANE 50” x 50” Original artwork Free wood frame if needed The Kent Coast of England where I live in Margate is renowned for its incredible sunsets and skies which I regularly paint and show on my Instagram or website. Indeed the legendary JMW Turner lived and visited here many times creating unforgettable artworks . I love to paint outside and often the evening or morning sky starts to match my artwork as if all the forces of Nature come together to inspire me. I did another fabulous landscape ( seen here ) and as I was painting the sky magically ( called Magical ) became exactly what I was doing as the evening came to a close . I use a variety of rare materials, local materials from the beach like fallen chalk , man made like acrylics and oils and inks and mineral pigments like mica , tiny bits of 24 carat gold leaf all sealed in with a matt UV protector varnish. I offer a service where I can bring the artwork to your home ( U.K. at least ) with free delivery . Worldwide there is charges sadly. I can offer you a sprayed free frame in grained wood in any colour.

Growing up in a isolated farming community it was fascinating to see the relationship between humans and the landscape. the toiling of the earth and the relationship between water, ice ,heat ,erosion was all around me at a very simple level. The corrosion on the metals from relentless rain on the farm or the slices of rock I found in the valleys formed this obsession with Time as a great creator and destroyer. I had to put this down on paper, the shapes and colours all around. I invented new techniques of creating the textures and layers and the landscapes I loved so much on my travels as an adult. Taking the subject of landscape painting and abstract art and turning it on its head using burning, smashing, layering with raw materials from geology itself such as sand, salt, quartz, diamond dust, gold leaf, iron.crushed precious stones to create an effect of real geological processes. Recyled papers and shredded plastic pieces I find, recycled heated glass are new ways of using our excessive planetary waste to create something beautiful.
