From an early age, my hands were never idle. Growing up with an engineer father and access to a basement workshop that produced everything from custom tools to rebuilt transmissions, I spent countless hours disassembling, reassembling, and creating. While other kids abandoned their sketchbooks for textbooks, I found ways to merge both—even passing algebra by designing pro-algebra propaganda posters. My professional foundation in graphic design spans over two decades of award-winning advertising campaigns for a diverse list of clients. This background in visual problem-solving and technical precision now informs my fine art practice, where digital expertise meets the unpredictable nature of physical creation—the lack of control, the permanence of each stroke, and most importantly, the tangible result. My paintings merge vintage illustration aesthetics with technical precision, layering acrylic paint and pen work to create exploded views of carburetors, deconstructed machinery, and nostalgic figures from mid-century America. Each piece celebrates the beauty found in repair manuals and technical drawings—subjects I've studied for hours in basements and garages throughout my life. This work isn't about making profound statements; it's about capturing the honest poetry of functional objects and the era when people built and fixed their own things. I create art that speaks to viewers who appreciate both technical craftsmanship and nostalgic charm—pieces designed to live comfortably in spaces where sophistication meets accessibility. My paintings invite collectors into a world where everyday mechanical objects reveal their hidden elegance, and where vintage aesthetics find contemporary relevance without pretense. Each work reflects my belief that the most compelling art emerges from genuine fascination with the subjects that have captivated me since childhood.
