House of hummingbird Painting

About the movie 'House of hummingbird' Set in 1994 when the Seongsu Bridge collapsed in Seoul.​​​​​​​ Eun-Hee (Park Ji-Hoo) is a middle school student. She lives with her parents who run a mill, older sister and older brother. While each of the family members struggle to deal with their own problems, Eun-Hee wanders. An female adult comes to Eun-Hee. That female adult is the only one who can understand Eun-Hee. For me, the hummingbird was an occasion for me to meet the harsh times. The main focus of this work was not to try to paint a pretty piece. But ironically, I tried to pursue beauty in detail. Maybe because the movie was very carefully made, I felt heavy air throughout the movie. I tried to make that feeling felt in the artwork. I think the juxtaposition of color, coarse texture and shadow expression on the figure are fit well with the atmosphere of the movie. I was so happy and unique experience to be able to participate in poster making in a great movie.
