About The Artwork

'How Kindness Became Our Hidden Pleasure'. This abstract piece plays with textures, light, depth, finishes and colours. It has both a very matt finish and a high gloss finish, there are glass beads, glitter based paints that reflect the light. There are literally the colours of the rainbow in here, plus a few more! Underneath the many, many layers of the piece, is cutout words and paragraphs from HG Wells Time Machine. You can see the writing coming through in many areas on the bottom half. The Time Machine has in modern times been seen as a commentary on the increasing inequality and class divisions of Wells' era. And now in the present, How Kindness Became Our Hidden Pleasure. I added a video on my instagram account which shows the depth and textures a lot better than the photographs do. https://www.instagram.com/p/CwhkM3vIzu-/ You could frame the piece in a floating frame designed for canvas. The edges are currently left unfinished, with paint dripping down in parts. I am happy to paint these black, just let me know. Thank you for looking

It is art that celebrates bravery & courage, the path we walk to get to where we are, portraying our beautiful individuality, deep connected humanity & energetic bond to life. Immeasurably entwined into the narrative is our human connection, our connection to all other life and our expansive connection to the planet we live on.
