Lisa Shiroma was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1977. She holds a BA in Psychology, 2001, from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Lisa's formal art education began in 2008 with studio art classes at Kapiolani Community College and continued at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2009 to 2012. While creating new works and participating in exhibitions, she was also an art instructor, gallery manager, and gift shop owner until Spring 2020. She is currently working as a full-time artist.
