The official "national idea" of Belarusians is based on the fact that there should be no war. Every 4th Belarusian died during the Second World War. War is something that should never happen again - something that ran like a red thread through my entire growing up in kindergarten, school and university. Never again. War has always been something too distant for me, it has been in countries where I will never be, among whose people I do not know, for reasons that I do not understand. Somewhere so far away that it looks more like a bad movie than reality. On February 23, I called my friend in Kyiv (where the 24th had already come) to hear that it was all a joke and I woke her up at 6 in the morning in vain. She was extremely collected, she had to save the people for whom she was responsible. Somewhere in the background were sirens and loud noises. Now the war was not far away, it was here. With my people, in the country I was and planned to return. The peace we were taught no longer exists. And he won't. Never again. At least in Cyrillic "МИР" now it's just three letters that do not carry any meaning.

Natalie Reyne is a Los Angeles-based artist who is known for creating beautiful pieces that tell stories through the canvases. Born in 1989 in Krupki, Belarus, Natalie received a higher education in economics. Her last profession was as a designer of websites and mobile applications. Despite her work in design, Natalie always felt the desire to express herself creatively. However, the lack of a classical academic education prevented her from pursuing art for many years. After visiting numerous contemporary art galleries and museums around the world, Natalie realized that the message conveyed through art is more important than academic performance. This realization prompted her to pursue a career in art. In all her works, Natalie seeks to express her thoughts and emotions in response to events happening in her life, both past and present. In 2020, after actively participating in protests and spending 12 days in jail, Natalie was forced to leave her country due to fears of criminal prosecution and imprisonment. Subsequently, her fears became a new reality. Prior to leaving Belarus, Natalie took part in different fairs and group shows and participated in the Autumn Salon with Belgazprombank. She also did political street art and street-art projects against war. In 2021, Natalie moved to America, where she continues to express herself through her art. Her paintings each have their own unique story, and she has participated in several charity art shows in 2021-2022. In 2023, she took part in LA Fashion week, the Parallax Art Fair, and group shows in the Laguna Art Gallery in California and the Jones Art Gallery in Kansas City, MO. Natalie's work reflects her inner life, emotions, and feelings, and her pieces are a testament to the power of art to convey meaningful messages.
