I chose this life to love you. (2021) 202101, 472 3rd St, San Francisco Watercolor on mix media paper This painting belongs to My Diary Therapist (2020-22) series, which is a documentation of a therapeutic colorful outlet through a dark period in my life. My early watercolor practice was initiated organically when I was processing my pain. Having had suffered from depression over course of roughly twenty-nine years, I started using watercolor as a way to confront the darkest hours.
