Libby Kay Sanchez (b. 1992) was raised in Floydada, Texas and graduated from Floydada High School in 2011. She graduated from Texas Tech University with her Bachelor of Fine Arts and continued her studies as a candidate for Texas Tech's Masters of Fine Art program. With her heart taking her in a different direction, Libby started in early childhood education. During her time at as an undergraduate at Texas Tech, Sanchez has been the recipient of the School of Arts’ senior studio space, the Verda Mae Fuller Todd Arts Scholarship, served as the Art Editor and Curator for the 2015 Harbinger: Journal of Literature and Art. She was also a member of Tech Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance. As a graduate student, she was a recipient of the Fuller Todd Talent Scholarship and upheld a 4.0 GPA. Sanchez’ work has been exhibited and sold internationally. Libby Sanchez wears many hats including Mom, wife, teacher, daughter, and sister. She enjoys sewing, baking, antique shopping, pottery, and spending time with her Mom. She also loves podcasts, animated movies, and doing independent research.
