Your favorite local celebrity told me I should be more humble. The good and the bad I’ve always been transparent about it all. When I talk about all the times I’ve been overlooked I’m too bitter, when I talk about my loses I’m too emo, when I talk about how I got a Forbes feature I’m too cocky, so which is it? My entire existence has been humble. Sleeping in roach infested apartments. Being evicted. Sleeping in my car. Overdrawn bank accounts. Working every shitty job under the sun coming home and working on art until four in the morning. Black sheep of my family. Everything in my life 100% paid for by me, with my art. I’ve done it all. I’ve walked the walk and talked the talk. I’ve told you all about my loses. Can I celebrate myself once in awhile? Am I allowed to talk about my wins? I’ve given every ounce of my being to my art. I’m just me. I’m real, boy. “I'm Real, Boy” , 40” x 30” x 1.5” Cut-paper, vintage newspaper, acrylic, and graphite on canvas from my 2019 series, “Do Your Hear Me Now? All original paintings come with a hand signed certificate of authenticity.
