ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This oil painting, measuring 20" x 24", encapsulates a cherished memory from my youth. As the school year drew to a close, a group of us would excitedly venture to the nearby amusement park. A particular tradition made this trip even more thrilling - for each "A" earned on our report cards, a free ride awaited us. Contemplating this nostalgic experience, I am torn between two immense joys: the elation of receiving a complimentary ride and the thrill of embarking on a summer vacation. Through a delightful fusion of realism and a more painterly style, this artwork aims to capture not only the vibrancy of the amusement park but also the emotive essence of those unforgettable summer days.

Dennis Crayon Realist Contemporary Realism I’ve earn a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the State University of New York and later earned a diploma from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in painting. It was there that he began to learn classical painting. I later moved to Washington, D.C., and studied at the Zoll Studio of Fine Art in Timonium, Maryland, fully delving into classical painting techniques and trompe l’oeil. I am an active member of Washington, D.C.’s artistic community. My work has been shown locally and nationally.
