ABOUT THE ARTWORK
It's an owl! In a loose semi-abstract style, using quality acrylics on canvas. The owl has always been a wise animal, but seldom seen in cities. My representation of the owl is very colorful with marks made by various object. Not just brushes. Sometimes I would use my hands to wipe and my nails to scrape the artwork. Using this technique I build up complex layers of color, which hopefully evokes a good feeling with the viewer. I tend not to be to philosophical about my art. After all, it is a painting, and you would either like it or hate it. Either way, the reaction from the viewer, whether good or bad, is all an artist could hope for!
