ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My painting style is abstract expressionism. It began in 2018, and was in my studio until I pulled it out to rework it a couple weeks ago. I completed it January 2020. It is an expression of letting go and being free of 2019. I am very much looking forward to new opportunities and adventures in 2020. I hope the viewers will see a renewal, a new perspective with open eyes like that of a curious child. It is inevitable this would be a reminder to begin anew. Happy New Year to you all. It is wired, signed on back and on the front. It is dated May 2018-January 2020, as stated above, it was waiting to be finished. It is NOT framed. The piece is painted black on the 1.5 inch sides. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts, and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
