Iceberg Painting

This work was inspired by an iceberg in Island, which I decided to paint. The iceberg is suspended on a metal mesh sheet that reflects human beings ' created environment. In the process of painting, I thought of Greta Thunberg and her organisation ,who seems like the only hope we have. All my sales for the next two years will be donated to habitat loss organisations. The pace of social and technological development is so rapid, that most politicians are professionals are obsessed with continuous economic growth. This shows an absolutely destructive relationship with nature. So,it is time to start with ourselves first, to make conscientious changes to our lifestyles. Our internal freedom is an essential condition for moral choices. Our moral responsibility is not to stop the future, but to shape the values by which we choose to live. This picture is far from having any aesthetic qualities but if it brings only one dollar for the common good, I may say that it was worth making it.
