Icebergs, Tiny Icebergs Painting

This was painted after an international art residency in Skagastrond, Iceland pn the North Atlantic. It was a very cold, snowy month of March. The wind was harsh and down on the volcanic black beach, these tiny Icebergs wash up or form from the fresh snow and water. These were my only sighting of Icebergs. In this painting you see the black rocks that stack farther out to sea making the horizon dark against the beautiful clear blue sky and the deep blues of the water. You must visit the Northern remote areas of Iceland. Be prepared to spend quite times. There are very few cars traveling and you'll probably not hear a horn honk or a raised voice. Stay as long as you can. A week is not enough.
