Born and raised in Kharkiv, Ukraine, I was introduced to Orthodox Christianity and sacred art at an early age. Attending church with my parents sparked a deep interest in iconography, which I've now dedicated my life to. During my school years, I studied at an art studio where I learned classical drawing and painting techniques, including copying works by old masters — skills that later became the foundation of my icon painting practice. In 2010, I began my professional training in traditional Orthodox iconography and theology at the Iconography School in Kharkiv. For more than 12 years, I've honed my craft by working with various icon studios, including a notable five-year tenure at the esteemed workshop of the Holy Dormition Sviatohirsk Lavra. Using the ancient technique of egg tempera, I create icons that embody warmth, depth, and a living presence that invites contemplation. I also explore modern acrylics to make this sacred art more accessible, all while honoring its timeless essence. My work is a quiet space in a loud world—a reminder of beauty, silence, and the eternal.
