Ēto has spent almost a year working on the theory behind "Ikigai Alchemy" and its prototypes. After this year, she began to develop large-format works that visualize the essence of her specially created term "Ikigai Alchemy". Ikigai_ what makes life worth living Alchemy_the study of the properties of substances and their reactions The question she asked herself was whether there could be an alchemical formula that would guarantee a life worth living. Not individually for each person, but broken down so that it could apply to everyone. In her opinion, the answer is the harmony between mankind and nature and the eternal cycle of the elements. For this reason, all the elements of the 5 element theory are used in the pieces of this series. Water, earth in the form of ground stones, wood in form of handmade paper, fire in form of soot pigments and metal in the form of sterling silver. All these elements are found in us and as well in nature and connect us to it. The five elements wood, fire, earth, metal and water are not static components, but are subject to constant change and transformation and are in a generative and consumptive relationship with each other. According to Ēto, the acceptance that all natural processes are inevitably always cyclical leads to actual contentment. Ikai Alchemy III is embracing the harmony of imperfection. It is a journey through abstract art intertwining with the ancient wisdom of Wabi Sabi, the beauty in imperfection, the tranquility in simplicity, and the profound connection between art, earth and life.

Ēto lives and works in Germany and always had a strong interest in transformation and creation. As a child, she watched her mother paint and began painting herself at an early age. Awarded a design degree in 2004, she deepened her passion for abstract art and nature. She has travelled and lived in the Caribbean, Africa, North - and South America where her unique and intimate visual vocabulary was founded. In her paintings she uses handmade paper, metals, stone flours, homemade paints and antique linen. The texture and distinctive depth of her work is achieved through countless layers of these materials and represents the constant transformation of reality. The intentionally imperfect work is artificially aged and opposes the ifelong pursuit of perfection. Despite the wide range of interpretation of abstract art, the particular calm that emanates from her works creates a deep connection between the viewer and the artist herself. Her work can be found in private and public collections and was recently exhibited in Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland and North America.
