Il Corso Painting

Luisa Maggioni was born on January 7th, 1978, and is a graphic designer and art therapist. She lives and paints in Rho. Since 2005 she has participated in numerous group exhibitions and competitions, and she has also had some very successful solo exhibitions which have helped to determine her future artistic path and style. She has always had a passion for art, but a course in art therapy enabled her to rediscover a deep-seated pleasure in her own creativity, free from formal academic limitations and from prejudices, and led her to discover innovative art forms. She was driven to develop her own techniques and manipulation of colour, which express her real responses to profound human emotions. These ideas have evolved over the years, through different media, but always maintaining  a spirit of observation, mixing reality, imagination, feelings and moods in an attempt to transmit energy and pulsations which resonate in the observer. The paintings also encourage one to think about current social issues. The same technique is developed over a range of paintings, sometimes thematically grouped, and yet exploring the technique itself. When looking at the collections of paintings over the last years, a common thread is evident tying all the works together, making a homogenous, but varied collection. That painting style is evolving constantly, via the senses and timeless space, where the fusion between the experiences of Man's past and the expectations for Man's future enhances a new sense of the present, where the meaning of life is defined by the logic of the mind and the instincts of the heart. Her paintings are inspired by bold and original visions and a constant wish to explore new directions without barriers, and overcome contingent confines, in search of the irrational and the unexplored.
