I think there is a Navigator. Who is afraid of what he doesn't know yet is attracted and stimulated by it. He is prudent and evaluative, yet he is always measuring the limits of his abilities, verifying the consistency of his qualities. The experience reassures him, yet he learns something every time and is often amazed by it. The unexpected accompanies him, both in his daily journeys and in his unusual journeys, so that every day he accomplishes a more or less significant undertaking, more or less consciously. With this thought I painted this small boat. A work boat, in which nothing is there by chance but everything has a specific function: every mast, every rope, every lamp. A little older who already has her wealth of experience and who sets out towards the open sea, at the first light of a winter dawn with faint light, ready to welcome new possible unexpected events.

Luca Girolami born in 1978, lives in Ladispoli (Rome). In 2003 he graduated in Architecture and began his entrepreneurial activity. In 2022 he began to paint, immediately favoring the study of views of natural and urban landscapes or genre scenes, trying to adopt a post-Macchiaioli reference with particular attention to chromatic shades and the brushstroke technique, following the typical atmospheres of the divisionism of the early 1900s. Since 2023 he has been constantly attending painting and drawing courses at the painting school of the master Giacomo Roberto, with a spirit of continuous study and in-depth analysis.
