About The Artwork

This painting, "The Illusionist", is a preface to my other work, "Waking the Bee". In this mosaic painting you can see the image of a magician spreading his cloak as if it were made of honeycomb. Each comb represents a unique trick or miracle, analogous to the accumulation of honey in a comb. "The Illusionist" symbolizes the art of tricks and magic, which, like the art of beekeeping, is based on the creation of a mysterious and enchanting world. A magician attracts the attention of the audience with his tricks and illusions, just as bees attract us with their hard work and incredible organization in their hives. These two paintings allow us to examine and compare two different types of art, which, despite their initially different qualities, reveal their secret to us and fascinate us. They highlight the similarities between the creative processes in art and nature, their ability to create wonder and excite the imagination of the viewer or observer. Thus, "The Illusionist" and "Waking the Bee" visually and symbolically combine the art of magic and the art of beekeeping, showing that even apparent differences can lead to amazing unity and interaction.
