Impasto, #5 Painting

The Impasto series draws inspiration from the interplay of weightiness and airiness. Within these pieces, Impasto brushstrokes fluctuate between tangible texture and illusionary depth, creating a dynamic visual effect. Additionally, I've explored diverse background compositions, juxtaposing busy sections with more sparse areas to maintain equilibrium. As I continue to develop this series, I find immense joy and fulfillment in the creative process. Many painings from this series, including this one, look nicely hung in all 4 orientations. The title impasto refers to the effect which they produce, although paintings are flat, illusion is just painted. The painting ships in a tube.
