Alex is an English artist currently residing in London. Painting both figurative and more abstract works, exploring various techniques and media in his creative process, Alex creates tension in his paintings as crisp contrasting lines mix with vibrant colours. Working with a variety of mediums including acrylic paint, watercolour, pen and ink and charcoal to create imagery that externalises his reactions to the subject at hand. Having previously studied art and design, Alex continues his artistic practice and currently draws inspiration from Expressionism and Fauvism, with themes including nature, still life and the human condition. Alex was fortunate enough to be exhibited most recently at the 2024 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and also has works with private collectors in the UK and the US.
