About The Artwork
As with most of my artworks, this one began with a moment of inspiration. It all commenced during our trip to Malaga in Spain. While strolling along "Calle Larios" near the hotel, a striking sight caught my eye— a man, bowing in a supplicating pose, clutching a vase in silent plea. Captivated by the poignant scene, I translated this powerful moment into a Dualistic painting. Titled "Indifference," the depiction of the beggar and the ground encapsulates the "form, rendered with rich interplay of colors and brush strokes visible upon close examination. The haunting silhouettes of indifferent passersby crown the beggar, symbolizing the "color" of the composition that appear to exist in an almost ethereal reality that transcends the harshness experienced by the beggar. In Dualism, the style I employ in all of my paintings, "form" and "color" stand apart to convey divergent aspects within the artwork.

As a kid I had a keen drawing skill. My father quickly took notice and pushed me to paint. Back in the days, we used to spend evenings painting together; my father, my mother, my sister, and me. I remember being very happy those days. Later on, I started experimenting with water colors, used as oils. I would use impressionistic style, with visible brush strokes and richness of colors. Later on, I captured interest in my work, and so my three first iconic works were sold: A commissioned art from a travel agency of a boy with a city seeing behind, a full body portrait of a businessman, and a wedding picture of a couple just wedded.
