Brushwork is a very important element for painting. The painter must have its own Brushwork to create a painting. I think that it is like a wave that is at the root of this world or the universe. Waves are present inside of organisms and minerals. The eternal wave. The brush is a wave. There are things that you can see by repeating brushstrokes. Just like a "Karesansui" in Kyoto. The brush is a thing to see and also to read.

I was born in Tokyo and grew up in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. I have studied painting since I was a child, and after graduating from Musashino Art University, I have continued to paint in oil, watercolor, and drawing. I have always thought about touch (brush strokes), color, and structure in painting. More recently, I have been thinking about the quantity of paint. My reference is Cézanne, the master of 120 years ago. I am groping my way through the realm of painting without literariness. Art is in Your Mind.
