"Interior No. 75-The purple Room - Portobello Road" is a figurative painting from the "Interior" series. It is part of the reflection of the philosopher Gaston Bachelard in his book "The poetics of space" and more particularly of "The intimate immensity". In the late 1960s and early 1970s I lived in London, on a street perpendicular to Portobello Road. The color was mauve and the scent was patchouli. The painting presents a room painted mauve, the light comes from a window on the left, two chairs are present, their arrangements seem random, as if they had been placed there without any particular intention. Meetings, a world in the making, life is recreated at every moment.
