The narrative space of the picture is organized in such a way that a central figure is a woman. Every period of history has got their own myths about women whose portraits were depicted by the artists paying attention not so much to their external features as to their internal world. In the heroine of the picture, the author captured deep psychology of a contemporary woman under the external fragility and grace of which her firmness and determination are hidden. A contemporary woman strives toward a Holy Grail, which is schematically depicted on the golden leaf, a source of wholeness, abundance and fertility, rather than to stay a passive participant of narration about herself.

Alexey Klokov's perception of the world of art and the trajectory of his life in it were formed due to Anatoly Zverev who carried along young Alexey into the world of avant-garde combining all the palette of genres and styles. Alexey Klokov has got professional education in 1986-1991, already after the death of his genial mentor, in a Leningrad Higher School of Art and Industry. The two-year probation in restoration workshops in Hermitage and Tretyakov Gallery became a momentous period when he was lucky to be literally in touch with the greatest masterpieces of Picasso, Matisse, Gauguin, Renoir, Van Gogh, Malevich, Kandinsky and others, learning from them "without words". Upon finishing the probation, Alexey made an unexpected choice and settled down in an orthodox monastery where during four years he learned the secrets of gilding and drawing by cognizing from inside not only the matter of iconography but also the deepest power of Divine providence embodied in the image. Since 1998 Alexey Klokov began to create his own style based on his philosophical thoughts and synthesis of impressionism, fauvism, cubism, expressionism, and abstractionism. With the experience of a restorer, he skillfully applies in his art gold leaf, antique objects, coins and gold. He had 25 personal exhibitions, worked in Japan and United Kingdom. In 2011 he came back to Russia and joined the Creative Union of Russian Artists. During his life created more than 4,000 artworks.
