Ioana Todor is a romanian-born American artist who is based in Palm Beach Florida. The foundation of her work resides in the process of balancing color and texture, allowing the viewer to experience the artwork as a meditative yet dynamic space. She often relies on daydreaming and her meditation practice to create art, and because of that, most of her work is born from an intuitive, visual soul regression that deals with feelings, thoughts, urges, and memories. Ioana's pieces are typically composed of multiple layers of acrylic, which are painted through numerous stages, evolving with layers upon layers added and joined in increasing complexity. Throughout her paintings, she uses texture to evoke the complexity of the human mind and soul, and she hopes to enable the viewer to experience the healing of emotional wounds from past experiences. Through her art, Ioana aims to offer soul-changing resolutions that are outside of conscious awareness.
