ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Successful moments are defined by the person achieving said success. We are dreaming of being "there". There as in making the money we want to make or performing on the stage we want to perform on. We just CANT wait. But what about the moments leading up to getting "there"? Are these not as important? What about when we get "there"? What's next? Are we going to feel the same way about "what's next" as we feel about "there"? If so, when do we feel like we've "made it"? I'm confused. Maybe, it's time to slow down and enjoy the journey. That is where success is made anyways.

Salina Mendoza is a Mexican and Taíno American artist who's work is associated with minimalism, hard-edge painting, and repetitive use of lines. Her work is inspired by uncomfortable emotions observed in the real world, brain vibrations, repetition, color, and mental health. Currently, Salina is a curator and partner at Low Key Gallery in Downtown Santa Ana, CA. She is the founder and managing director of Artist Safespaces, a non-profit who designates public and private safespaces for artists to do live art for free. She is the 2019 OC Laureate and works closely with several Orange County municipalities to organize their art communities. Salina also splits her time between art and tech as a Senior Product Manager for one of the leading primary ticketing platforms in the US.
