ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The usual browns and ochres of the garden, even the black of dead vegetation, brought startlingly to life with bright, luminous huge red flowers. There was a rush to paint these blooms… hence the absence of detail. Painted on board. As paper might not have taken the impact of such intense an attack of thick, buttery acrylic! It has been framed , to keep the hardboard sturdy, with recycled wood.
