JUST A DROP, Silver №2 Painting

Hello art lovers! You are looking at 16 by 20 inches acrylic/oil painting finished in 2020. It was made on studio canvas, primed with Utrecht high quality gesso. As a subject, artist Vladimir Derkach used a symbol of life such as just a drop, surrealistically painted on the surface of spontaneously palette-knifed acrylic mess. The idea is that: There's something amidst our lives what is forgotten. The artist goal was to stop the walk, to open time and just let oneself to look around. Typical Zen Tantric painting, suitable for almost any spot at any home or office. Vladimir Derkach was born in Moscow in 1964. Since "perestroika" had opened the iron curtain he traveled a lot ending up in Santa Monica, California, where he resides now. The sunlight of "wind of change" helps him to work on various subjects mainly in oils and acrylics not forgetting his skills in linocuts and prints. This work is not framed.
