This is a hand painted Original Japanese Calligraphy with an Enso circle. Hanging words in your home that mean a lot to you can help you re-center yourself in your daily life. Seeing those words can be a chance for you to stop, take a deep breath, think about what is truly important to you, and remember that you live in this moment. This calligraphy painting is a wonderful gift for anyone who loves Japanese & Asian cultures, minimalist, martial art practitioners, Yoga practitioners, or someone wants to have a symbol of mindfulness. ----- -About this painting- This Enso 円相 was created with freshly made Sumi ink and the Kanji, 改善 (Kaizen) was written with Sumi ink. This painting was created with Japanese Shodo (Calligraphy) technique. Bleeding of Sumi ink and dry brush are part of the true beauty and characteristics of authentic Japanese Calligraphy. Size: 21.5/8 ”x 30 1/4” (55cm x 70.5cm) Materials used :Black Sumi ink, Sumi art paper, water color paper as a backing paper, seal paste *The artwork is stretched with Urauchi technique (a wet paper mounting). ・The word is a Japanese Kanji idiom, 改善 ”Kaizen”. Its meaning is “improvement “ or “ betterment “. ⭐️Please note that some photos of the paintings may exhibit a discrepancy in the representation of white colors. These images were captured in natural light without any adjustments, leading to a slight deviation from true white tones. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and assure you that the paintings' true essence and integrity are best experienced in person. ----- ・ What is 円相 “Enso” ------------------------ *about my Sumi Art background: I was trained Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy) since when I was 4 or 5 years old under my father who was a master Shodo painter. Shodo and Sumi-E painting is my roots, my culture, and my father's legacy. They are beautiful traditional arts and I deeply appreciate my father who taught me and my heritage.
