Art Description

Painting: Acrylic

There is something about the sweet nature of this Clown that I love. I saw a sweet sadness in the photo of this young man all done up in happy clown makeup. A boy not yet a man but on the edge with real responsibilities pushing up on him, but for just a little while he can be the happy go lucky clown.

This was the first painting I created of a clown. I started a series called "The Human Side Of A Clown" which now has 9 paintings in the collection. This painting is full of rich vibrant colors.

I realize clowns aren't for everyone, but for those of us who like clowns, this is a great painting and one of my favorites.

Original acrylic painting on 24 X 36 gallery wraped canvas with painted sides to match painting. Signed front and back. Piece is lightly varnished.

This painting was exhibited at "The Art Location Gallery" in Fayetteville, AR and at my one woman show at Arkansas Laser Solutions in Fayetteville AR on Dec. 18th, 2010.
