About The Artwork

When I was a lad, there was a boy named Jimmy who hung around with us. Professionally, Jimmy collected shopping carts for Safeway and was paid 25c per cart that he brought back. He was at the top of his field, an expert at retrieving shopping carts. Not much room for advancement. If someone had a drug, and didn't know what it was Jimmy would take a dose and describe the effects. So in addition to his Safeway career, he was a human test subject. He always had a purple blanket with him. I don't know the purpose of it; I guess he would use it as a pillow when he would crash. Later, I went away to art school. I have no idea what ever happened to Jimmy. I decided to commemorate him through this abstract impressionist image. This piece is only available as an original. No prints will be made of it.

I am an Experimentalist. As youngsters, we are allowed to create fantasy worlds, filled with imaginary friends. Then we are told to color within the lines. RIDICULOUS! There are two paths to greatness among human beings; accident and pioneering exploration. Neither of these involve painting within the lines. Both are forms of Experimentalism. Accident occurs when, by happenstance, a new ideas is formulated by a trained observer while viewing a random happening. Penicillin for example. pioneering is terribly expensive, because many pioneers are represented by the dried out bones on the desert. I am concerned about the future. Technology continues to advance at a speed with which humans cannot assimilate. I believe people are not able to adjust to the speed with which this is happening. Don't you hate trying to use 411 service or the robot "customer service lines"? My work is a combination of futurism, expressionism, nature, android technology and human body forms. This is known as NEO CONSTRUCTIVISM. I juxtapose natural realistic forms with strange mechanical forms. I take a broad range of powerful colors and arrange them in various unusual positions. My devotional is to beauty, but not in the conventional sense. That is Neo Constructivism. ALL ARTWORK IS SHIPPED IN A TUBE, READY TO MATT AND FRAME.
