Rarely is something truly as it appears. Beauty is everywhere, but oft times unrecognizable because of our busy lives. Hidden meanings and messages are waiting to be discovered if we allow ourselves to open our minds and senses, have the courage to dare and explore, and observe with our inner eye. How wonderful it is that the universe is on such an incredible journey and we are along for the ride.

It was snowing when I was born and still coming down when I was released. My father drove my mother and I home, in a horse drawn open sleigh. My first big adventure. Far from my last. I was raised in Piatra-Neamt, Romania; a small city surrounded by mountains, covered with thick pine forests, and steeped in millenniums of culture and tradition. Growing up, I spent my days dutifully attending school (which I loved), in the evenings, and on the weekends, hanging out with friends. My summers were spent vacationing at the Black Sea and with my grandparents on their vineyard. Always nurtured, and encouraged, by my loving, supportive parents.

As long as long as I can remember, Ive been an artist. Loving to sketch, paint, draw, sculpt and create. I planned a career in architecture, studying and apprenticing for four years in Bucharest. In the end, however, my artists soul prevailed and I received my undergraduate degree in art, majoring in painting with a minor in photography, from the School of Fine Arts, Piatra-Neamt, Romania. At the age of 24 I immigrated to Venezuela; ah, the tropics! Continuing my desire to cultivate my craft, I studied graphic arts for four years at the Escuela de Artes Visuales Rafael Monasterios, and then earned a Masters of Education Through Art from the Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua. Both in Maracay City, Venezuela. Now, I find myself, once again, living in a city surrounded by mountains. Not in Romania or Venezuela, but in Salt Lake City, Utah. My inspiration comes from the places Ive seen, the people Ive met, the studies in which Ive engaged, and, of course, my universal imagination. I have had the honor to travel the globe and to share my passion for art with the peoples Ive met.

Life is a journey, experiences my teacher, friends and family my strength, ART my passion and love.
