Los recuerdos no tienen cuerpo, sin embargo, se sienten con el peso de toda la realidad presente. Desde el 2014 Pablo esta pintando escenarios que parecen ser imaginarios, estos tienen algo de fotografía y de anhelo a la vez. Muestran como la familia esperaba que acabara la incertidumbre y la ausencia que provocó la clandestinidad de la madre durante los años de dictadura en Chile.

Pablo Linsambarth Cartagena / Santiago, Chile, 1989. Visual artist and high school art teacher. In 2016 he won a scholarship from the AADK Network platform based in Spain to participate in a Artistic Residence in the city of Murcia. The same year he obtained funding from the same plataform to produce a video-documentary in Morocco (Title: Travel as an immigrant, live as a tourist). In 2003 he won the Young Art Award from the Municipality of Las Condes and the South African Embassy. He has had solo show’s in and outside of Chile, among which the following stand out: Festival Mucho Más Mayo, City of Cartagena, Spain (Work: Borders, Painting-Installation, 2016); Centro Negra, Blanca City Council, Spain (Work: Nomad, Video-Installation, 2016) and Open Studio AADK, Murcia, Spain (2016). In Berlin, Germany, he exhibited at LemoArt Gallery (Exile, Painting) and collaborated with the CanCan Project (2016). In 2016 he participated in several projects in different locations in Morocco, he also made an artistic intervention in Venice, Italy and received a commissioning invitation to Manifesta 11 in Zurich, Switzerland. In Chile his main exhibitions are in: Galería Departmento 21 (Son of Thief, Installation, 2018); Palmilla Oriente Gallery (An Unusual Retreat, Painting, 2018); Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Fresh Painting, Video, 2013); Casa Central of the Universidad de Chile (2011); Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (René, Installation, 2018) and in multiple Art Fairs and Collective Shows. In 2019 he has presented two solo show’s and one collective exhibition: Juan Egenau Gallery (Absence, two points); OMA Art Gallery (XYZ / Cartography of a Failure) and The Brick Lane Gallery, London, United Kingdom, respectively. Also, that year he had three more exhibitions: two collective and one solo in Centro Cultural de Recoleta, Quinta Bella Space; Gaudí Gallery, Madrid, Spain; and Arthaus Havana Art Residency, La Habana, Cuba. Also, he participated in Anne Harris’ collective exhibition The Mind’s I, organized and produced by Espacio Andrea Bunson at CV Galería, finishing the year with a fanzine published at Tai Kwun Contemporary’s Hong Kong Art Book Fair. He has appeared in renowned international publications such as the italian digital magazine dedicated to contemporary art and design Malamagi in its February edition and the book Flamante dedicated to young Latin American artists.
